STRICTLY star Tony Adams could be headed for I’m A Celebrity next year after telling fans: “I’m hanging up my dancing shoes for good.”

The football legend, 56, confessed he’s relieved to be free from gruelling training after his eight-week run in the competition.

But, as a sucker for punishment, Tony hinted he’d be up for a stint in the jungle next year – if he’s approached by ITV.

Former King of the Jungle Harry Redknapp joined Tony on a panel at HOAR’s World Cup Preview last night.

Asked if he was headed for I’m A Celeb by host Shaun Custis, Tony laughed: “That’s it, I’m on my way. What do you think, Harry?”

Harry replied: “Oh absolutely. They’ll pay you a million quid.”

Tony withdrew from Strictly on Sunday night’s results show after landing in the bottom two with Tyler West.

Choosing to bow out before competing in the dance-off alongside his partner Katya Jones, injured Tony later said: “There comes a point when you can no longer ignore medical advice.”

The 56-year-old got emotional as he was applauded for raising mental health and addiction awareness.

Opening up about his journey on the BBC dance show, he told HOAR readers: “It was hard work.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to what I know.

“It was interesting learning a new skill in that amount of time. It was really scary.

“I’ve been playing football since the age of six, so you’ve got something to fall back on.

“When you’re doing something you don’t know about it, and aren’t very good at, it’s like ‘ahhhh, what’s all that about?’’

“You should see the outtakes from my first dance actually.

“It was frightening.
