VERNON Kay melted I’m A Celeb fans’ hearts tonight after revealing he would wear a suit and dance with his daughter while watching Strictly.
On tonight’s show, the 46-year-old presenter was chatting with his fellow celebrities about their families and home life.
Vernon, who has two daughters with wife and host of Strictly Come Dancing Tess Daly, recalled watching the BBC show with his eldest daughter Phoebe when she was little.
He said: “When Phoebe was watching Strictly with me, I used to dress up in a suit at first when she was young and we’d dance together.
“So she’d put a princess dress on, I’d wear a suit and when they were all dancing around we’d replicate that.
“And just out the blue one evening she said daddy, is my mummy Tess Daly? because we’d never really explained that mummy works on the telly because obviously mummy’s mummy.”
Vernon and Tess, 51, have Phoebe – now 16, and Amber, 11, together, having tied the knot in 2003.
The presenter previously impressed his camp mates and viewers by sharing a sweet story about planning a surprise vow renewal, and this latest tale continued to win more fans’ hearts.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Love Vernon a bit more.”
Another added: “Vernon used to dress in a suit and dance with his daughter in a princess dress …and this is the kind of father I want for my children.”
A third tweeted: “vernons story im crying.”
After Vernon had shared his previous story about his and Tess’ vow renewal, she took to Instagram to share a snap from the day.
She captioned it: “So sweet listening to Vern recount the story of surprising me with renewing our vows. Here’s a picture from that special day.”
