LEWIS Capaldis ex Paige Turley tried to be famous for years before Love Island – by going on Britain’s Got Talent.
The 22-year-old, from West Lothian in Scotland, went on the show in 2012 and reached the semi-finals.

Giving a “fun fact” about herself before entering the villa, Paige said: “When I was 14 I was on Britains Got Talent as a solo singer and I got to the semifinals. I sang Skinny Love by Birdy.”
She is one of 12 wannabe stars looking for love in the show’s first ever winter series in South Africa.
Paige inspired Scots singer Lewis’ No1 hit Someone You Loved.
The couple had dated on and off from 2014 to 2016 after meeting at college in Motherwell and becoming close.

Revealing her “claim to fame”, Paige said: “Lewis Capaldi is my ex boyfriend.
“We went out when we were younger, I was about 17 or 18.
“We were together for about a year. It ended really amicably and were still pals.”
Following their split, devastated Lewis channelled his heartache into hit album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.
Speaking previously about his inspiration for the record, he said: I met a lady.
She was very nice. I loved her. I loved the look of her and I loved how she spoke.
We dated for a year-and-a-half, then she left me. Then I wrote an album about it and I still think about it every day.

Paige is hoping to find love in the villa this winter
Paige has now set her sights on moving on from the hit singer – and tasting fame herself.
An insider told The Scottish Sun: Paige is looking for love, so when the team from Love Island approached her she decided to take up the opportunity.
Thanks to Lewiss music, her relationship past has won her an awful lot of attention.
So now she wants her relationship present to be in the spotlight.
She is very excited about Love Island and is hoping she will find her perfect man.
