LOVE Island star Amy Hart is eyeing up a major career change and hopes to ditch reality TV for politics.
Amy, 29, says she’d love to run as an MP in the not so distant future in a bid to help make politics more digestible for teenagers.
Chatting to HOAR, the former Air Hostess said: “I’d love to write a book about politics for the Love Island generation.
“A lot of people think that politics doesn’t concern their lives so making it easier to digest is important.
“Many of my friends don’t vote as they think politics doesn’t concern them.
“I would love to educate people that it really does concern them. Maybe I’d like to run as an MP as well.”

Going into detail about her ambition while on a sun-soaked holiday at the Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun, Amy continued: “I think I could be a relatable MP – something a lot of them are not.
“I think integrity and compassion is missing in politics and I can bring that. I have a nice life now, I earn good money.
“I don’t need to get into politics but I would love to as I would love to help people change their life and to make things better for people rather than doing it for what I could gain out of it. I think a lot of people do it for personal gain sadly.”
Despite a string of high profile TV appearances after leaving the Love Island villa in 2019 including on Celebs Go Dating, behind the scenes Amy has been working hard for fulfil her political ambition.
“I’ve been working with My Life My Say which is taking youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds who maybe think they are not listened to in the whole political spectrum,” she continued.
“I did a Q and A with Keir Starmer for them.

“It was 26 really inspirational young people who wouldn’t normally get to in the room with Keir and asked questions but they got to which is amazing.
“I’m really keen to make sure people know about the importance of registering to vote.”
