LOVE Island fans accused Tyrique of gaslighting his partner Ella on the ITV2 show after telling Kady McDermott he was “open” to getting to know her.
The footballer is coupled up with model Ella and only recently said he wanted them to be a “closed off”.

But he made the dramatic u-turn within minutes of Kady, 27, entering the villa, and later got into another row with Ella that left her in tears.
He told her: “She kept asking me, ‘Are you closed off?’ And I said, ‘No I’m not closed off but it’s going to take a lot for me.
“I’m not just open to every bombshell, it’s a selective sort of thing.”
Ella replied: “Oh do you want to get to know her?”
He responded: “Yeah. If she wants to get to know me. Then yeah I’m open to getting to know her, one hundred.”
Seeing Ella’s stony face, Tyrique added: “Now you’re just p****d off.”
The pair began to bicker about Ella’s reaction to his comments, rather than his confession about getting to know Kady.
And fans were not impressed with Tyrique’s behaviour as they called it out on Twitter.
One fumed: “Tyrique is gaslighting this girl! He wants her mad everytime! You don’t expect her to smile after saying you want to get to know someone do you???!”
A second penned: “But tyrique said he was closed off in that challenge, now he’s open to Kady.
“How the hell does he want her to react when he wants to move to every woman who comes in.”
And a third said: “Women should all be required to watch Tyrique on #LoveIsland so they can see a classic case of gaslighting.”
Tyrique previously admitted he dated multiple girls in the real world and has never been in an exclusive relationship.
Asked if he’s a player off the pitch, as well as on, he told HOAR: “I have been known to date more than one person at a time I’ll be honest, in the past.
“But I feel like it’s hard, the word player, because the people I’m dating know that I’m dating other people. So it’s not like I’m going behind anyone’s back or anything like that.
“Am I really a player if I’m doing it openly and honestly, does it really make me a player? People have got their opinions.
“I’ll shoot my shot in the villa. I’m not afraid of stepping on anyone’s toes.”
