LOVE Island have confirmed that the date for the final is less than two weeks away.

This year’s winning couple will be crowned on Sunday 23rd February at 9pm on ITV2.

On that night the winners will have to decide whether to split the 50,000 prize or steal it for themselves.

So far only Paige Turley and Finn Tapp are in an official couple and have become clear favourites to win.

But despite her current single status, Shaughna Phillips has become a firm fan favourite.

If she couples up in time, some fans are backing her to win on her own.

There were hugs all round after the unexpected final

Molly-Mae and Tomy Fury were tipped to win

Last year’s winner Amber Gill managed to couple up in the final two weeks and win the crown with Greg O’Shea.

They have since split and it was her popularity that made her a winner with viewers after she was dumped by Michael Griffiths in Casa Amor.

Fans had feared Shaughna would quit the villa ever since her ex Callum Jones returned from Casa Amor with new girl Molly Smith.

But last night she had hope of finding someone new after getting asked on a date by new boy Jamie.

Shaughna could be the show’s second solo winner

Shaughna was heard excitedly shouting: “Jamie I’m coming!”

Recruitment consultant Jamie, 28, describes himself as “confident, loyal and charming”.

But he admits there’s something about his personality that might turn off the other Islanders.

“Im a clean freak,” Jamie said.“So Ill always be tidying up the villa! Sometimes that can irritate people.”

Will he couple up with Shaughna and take the crown? Only time will tell…
