LOVE Island has been hit with more than a hundred complaints amid a bullying row on the show and Molly Marsh’s dramatic exit.

The ITV2 reality show received 66 complaints about last Wednesday’s episode – with the majority related to alleged bullying, microaggression and misogyny by Sammy Root.

Friday’s installment saw 64 viewers write in, objecting to Molly’s eviction, the broadcasting regulator confirmed to HOAR.

Love Island fans saw Sammy clash with the girls in a tense row over the other islander’s comments.

His former flame Jess broke down in tears and opened up about how hurt she felt when they picked the couple for ‘least compatible’.

Jess and Sammy, as well as Mitch and Leah were voted the least compatible and subsequently became single.

Catherine and Whitney weren’t happy with what Sammy said about them when he implied that they should have been there instead of him and Jess.

Catherine said to Sammy: “You made a weird comment about physical attraction.”

Sammy replied: “Obviously you and Mehd’s get on well, whatever. You and Scott get on well. But I just feel like me and Jess are far, far more compatible.”

Whitney interrupted: “Well obviously not…”

Some 155 viewers contacted Ofcom last week after finding scenes involving Jess and Molly difficult to watch.

There were calls for ITV bosses to intervene after the girls ganged up on Molly, who had three boys interested in her at the time: Mitchel Taylor, Zachariah Noble and Sammy Root.

Jess and Ella didn’t take kindly to the fact Molly reacted angrily when new girl Charlotte coupled up with Zachariah.

In a bid to make things as awkward as possible, Molly interrupted Zach and Charlotte’s one-on-one gym session in order to keep her eyes firmly on ‘her prize’.

It irked some of the Islanders who passed judgement on Molly’s actions, which viewers deemed to be bullying.
