Sharing Motherhood on Social Media

Former Love Island star Shaughna Phillips has recently come under fire for what some viewers believe is over-exposure of her daughter Lucia on social media. The reality star, who gave birth to her first child in April, regularly updates her 1.4 million followers with adorable moments of her little one. However, critics argue that Shaughna should tone it down.

The Direct Message That Sparked Controversy

In a recent Instagram story, Shaughna shared a screenshot of a direct message she received from a former fan. The message initially congratulated her on the birth of her child, but when Shaughna posted another story featuring her toddler, the user remarked, "Anything else but baby all the time." Shaughna responded with humor, saying, "I do sometimes think I should switch it up sometimes," but ultimately defended her decision to share this chapter of her life, saying, "My entire life is baby right now." She added, "So soz lol."

Not the First Time

This is not the first time Shaughna has faced criticism from mum shamers. Earlier, she shared a photo of Lucia trying baby porridge, which sparked controversy. Some argued that it was too soon to introduce solid food, but Shaughna assured her followers that she was following her instincts and consulting with her midwife. In response to the backlash, Shaughna lightheartedly said, "She's trying four to six months porridge and she's just over four months… So you can report me to the police, but I think I'll get no further action, thanks huns."

A Proud Mother

Despite facing criticism, Shaughna remains unapologetic about sharing her motherhood journey. She confirmed that she has no intentions of stopping anytime soon. Shaughna rose to fame when she appeared on the first-ever winter edition of Love Island on ITV2.
