LOVE Island winner Sanam Harrinanan has hit out at the show’s producers for “dumbing down” contestants by cutting scenes that show them getting along on a “personal level”.

The social worker was shocked when she watched her series back and found much of the moments she considered important were missing in the final edits.

Sanam Harrinanan won Winter Love Island with Kai Fagan

She said the show has been cutting out moments showing the islanders getting along on a more ‘personal level’

She said: “It shocked me because going on the show I didn’t think that I would connect with someone on such a personal level. I didn’t expect to go on Love Island and actually find love.

“When you watch Love Island you don’t often see those conversations, so you don’t think it’s happening.”

She added to Mail Online: “But with me and Kai we would speak about our families, our values, future, we connected on a deeper level that I didn’t think would happen in the villa.

“They need to show that more actually. We are a really good match because we connect on so many different levels.”

Love Island fans have also accused bosses of stitching storylines together with huge chunks missing.

They claimed they missed important storylines because scenes have been “cut out” by producers.

It’s after Catherine Agbaje and Whitney Adebayo suddenly turned on Jess Harding for “bullying” Molly Marsh.

The trio were at odds with Molly last week – and then viewers noticed a sudden divide in the villa.

It left them confused and worried they’d missed an episode that explained the rift between Jess and the other girls.

One said on Twitter: “Guys I can’t lie I’m confused I feel like I’m missing something.”

Another said: “The editing this episode.. I feel like am missing bits of uncut drama.”

Someone else added: “I feel like we are missing pieces of this story cause none of these people’s reactions are making sense where did these issues even come out from?”

Another fan asked: “Why is Catherine and Whitney so concerned about a challenge?

“Whitney didn’t want to single Molly out in front of everyone…. Like I’m confused!!! Am I missing something??”
