The winner of 'Love Island', Sanam Harrinanan, has been criticized by a fan for being 'so rude' after she declined their request for a photo. The incident took place when the fan approached her in China Town.

The Rise of Popularity

Sanam Harrinanan, 25, a social worker, and her boyfriend Kai Fagan, 25, a teacher, emerged as the champions of the winter edition of 'Love Island' at the beginning of this year. However, it appears that her growing popularity might be affecting her attitude.

'One Thing About Me…'

The fan took to Instagram to express their disappointment, saying, "So rude not taking a picture in China Town – calm down love, you're not Tommy and Molly." To this, Sanam responded, "One thing about me… I will always happily take a picture with whoever asks because I wouldn't be here without you guys. But I will always say no if I am approached while I am sat down at a table eating food and in mid-conversation. I find it rude and invasive at that point. There's a time and a place, and it's not while I'm sat with someone eating a meal and enjoying someone else's presence."

Clearing up the Misunderstanding

Sanam further asked the fan, "Are you the person that came up to us while we were eating our food? Because I only turned one person down because of that, so I'm assuming it's you?" It seems that the reality TV star wanted to clarify the situation.

Engagement Rumors

Away from the selfie controversy, Sanam and her Love Island boyfriend Kai sparked engagement rumors when she was spotted wearing a sparkler on her left hand. Kai shared a picture of her donning the stunning band, captioning it, "A promise."

While many followers were excited about the news and rushed to congratulate the couple, others questioned if they were actually engaged. However, Kai reassured their fans that it was a promise ring and that a proper engagement was on the horizon.

Blending Cultures

Sanam, who recently moved in with Kai, revealed that her experience of modeling bridal wear made her consider having two different weddings—one Indian and one British—to blend their cultures. She stated, "Mixing the cultures is something I have started to consider, so possibly, but we'll have to wait and see."
