LOVE Island’s Catherine Agbaje slammed the show and has insisted she wasn’t bullying Scott van der Sluis despite over 1,000 Ofcom complaints.

The 22-year-old was one of the latest to be dumped from the Island.

Catherine Agbaje has opened up about what happened on Movie Night

Catherine argued with Scott during Movie Night

Love Island fans accused the Islanders

As viewers will know, Catherine was recently involved in a lot of drama with Scott after she brought back Elom Ahlijah-Wilson from Casa Amor.

Things got ten times worse when Movie Night arrived and Scott defended himself after they showed a clip of him saying he would turn his head in Casa Amor.

This prompted a fiery row between Scott and Catherine, and Leah also piped up to defend her friend and ended up saying that none of the Casa Amor girls wanted him.

This left Love Island fans saying they wanted to ‘call Ofcom’ as they accused the Islanders of bullying Scott.

However Catherine has said that what was seen on our screens wasn’t what actually happened.

Catherine told the On Demand Entertainment podcast: “There’s no context to these situations. People watching they don’t know where it’s actually come from….”

She explained Prior to Movie Night the Casa girls and boys said Scott would have cracked on if Gabby Jeffery hadn’t picked Sammy Root.

She continued: “When it came to Movie Night, there was a lot that was edited out.

“It was Amber who actually started it. Amber actually said, she’s the one that came with these comments, you know, she started it. We were like ‘hmm okay’…and then the boys are coming to us ‘what did she say?’

“Leah was like it’s not mine to say… That’s what Leah tried. She didn’t want to say that comment, she was like ‘it’s not mine to say’.

“The boys are being boys, they’re being wind ups, they’re getting very aggy, very whatever.

“Scott’s not talking, he is talking a little bit, but he’s not talking too much…”

Then the Islanders all started firing words at each other and Catherine explained that she was very much out of i.

They then tried to speak to her, but she said that wasn’t seen on our screens.

Catherine then explained that she was actually talking to Mitch Taylor, 26, because he was mocking her bonnet during the row – but the show made it look like she was talking to Scott in the outburst.

Speaking about the heated argument, Catherine explained: “They are now coming to me, but again you don’t see that them asking me what was said and Mitch was being annoying…

“I was actually talking to Mitch. Zooming into my face and not showing the full like who I was speaking to and what not.

“Mitch was like ‘you’re sad over a bonnet, you’re sad over a bonnet’ and I hated that because bonnet is a black girl thing…”

“He was like ‘over a bonnet’ and Whitney was like ‘not the bonnet’ because then he obviously because he didn’t pack me a bonnet as well.

“So he was taking the piss out of the situation, that angered me.

“I fired back and I was like no – what was said.. because no one was saying what Amber said.

“I was like yeah he said because nobody wanted him in Casa and I wasn’t speaking to Scott, I was speaking to Mitch because they were asking me what was said.”

HOAR have contacted ITV for comment.
