LOVE Island’s annual reunion episode is always a spicy affair – and we can exclusively reveal the date fireworks will fill the air this year.

The 2023 summer series may be coming to an end tonight, but fans won’t have long to wait for their next fill of Love Island antics.

The Love Island cast will reunite next Sunday

Maya Jama will bring all the stars of the show together one more time for a fun-filled night of secrets, drama and gossip on Sunday, August 6.

The Aftersun special will be hard-pressed to top one of the most cringey moments in the show’s history, which took place just last night.

It came as Scott van-der-Sluis friend-zoned Abi Moores in brutal fashion.

The pair then sat through an excruciating interview with Maya Jama, which fans have branded the most awkward ever.

Scott and Abi were coupled up in the villa, but failed to get a romance off the ground.

The footballer admitted it had been forced, leaving Abi noticeably upset.

He then proceeded to defend ex Catherine Agbaje, telling viewers not to leave her nasty messages after she dumped him for Casa Amor boy Elom Ahlijah-Wilson.

Quizzed by Maya as to whether or not they could rekindle things, Scott said:  “At the moment we get on as friends really well, there’s nothing different to that at the moment.

“I don’t know about a date just yet. I was sort over that situation in the villa. You can never say never, but, for me at the moment I’m sort of done with it.”

Those watching at home rushed to comment on the interview, with one person writing: “This aftersun interview with scott and abi is so awkward.”

A second said: “I actually feel so bad for Abi, that looked so awkward for her, I know she regrets even entertaining Scott’s flirting to begin with lol.”

While a third added: “This Abbie and Scott post villa interview is soooo awkward.”

Scott van der Sluis made it very clear about how things were left with Abi Moores
