HE was the pen salesman who went on to become a legendary Love Island swordsman.
Then, 18 months after finding fame with Dani Dyer as winners of the shows 50,000 prize, Jack Fincham shocked fans by revealing he had become a dad.

And in his first interview since his ex-girlfriend Casey Ranger gave birth to their 8lb 2oz daughter Blossom last month, besotted Jack says he has sworn off women to raise the tot.
He says: Ive taken to fatherhood like a duck to water. I absolutely love it.
Shes my focus, my priority. I want to work as hard as I can, earn as much as I can, so I can give her the best life possible.
Me and Case are just mates, we are simply focusing on being the best mum and dad we can and figuring out this co-parenting thing.

All Im thinking about is Blossom. Im not thinking about dating anyone else at the moment at all.
Ive not really done dating apps, and I dont want to do any now. For me, its all about little Blossy Finch.

Hes a natural, and happy to get stuck in changing nappies, doing bottle feeds and, at one point during our interview, winding his daughter.

Since announcing Blossoms birth on Instagram, Jack has been inundated with messages of support with perhaps one notable exception.
He says: Its been incredible. Every single member of Love Island has been in touch.
Dr Alex texted me, saying he kept welling up about the news, and Ive had loads of mums come and say nice things.
But what of his 24-year-old ex, Dani?

Here follows the only awkward moment of the morning, and Jack would clearly rather discuss anything dirty nappies, Brexit, metaphysics than Dani.
He eventually concedes that she hasnt texted him we havent messaged at all and politely asks that we move on.
For context, after winning the series in 2018, the then smitten couple hit the showbiz circuit very hard after leaving the Mallorcan villa.
They quickly moved in together and even bought a bulldog puppy, Sandy, before things turned sour.
After splitting for the first time that December, they got back together a couple of weeks later, with cynics citing the launch of their spin-off reality show, Jack & Dani: Life After Love Island as the reason. The pair eventually separated permanently last April.
Within hours of Jack announcing his baby news, Dani daughter of EastEnders actor Danny revealed on air that she was as shocked as anybody by the turn of events.
Happily, Jack is now wildly in love with another young lady Blossom, who he affectionately refers to as little guy.
The 28-year-old might be smitten now he and Casey swap 50 WhatsApp photos of her a day.

However, he admits he wasnt quite so thrilled after he first found out that he was going to be a dad while sitting in a pub at the time.
He says: Im not going to sit here and lie. At the start I couldnt get my head around it all. I was like, S**t! Oh God.
I just wasnt expecting it. I remember I was sitting in this bar, and I panicked. You just dont plan for it. I had other plans for the next few years, but everything happens for a reason.
My mum was the first person I told and she was really supportive. I spoke to her about my feelings, what was going on in my head, and came to terms with it.

Now, of course, I think it is absolutely amazing, and shes the best thing ever.
Jack reckons fatherhood has already changed him, adding: Im not just thinking about myself.
Im still a young lad, in my twenties, so Im still going to go out to the pub with my mates, but now theres someone elses life Ive got to take into consideration.
My mum has always said Im a selfish little b***er but Im a lot less selfish now. I find myself thinking, Oh that would look nice on Blossom, and wanting to buy her all the designer handbags she wants when shes five.
When Casey told me I was going to be a dad, I told my mates, No way, boys. Im not going to be changing a s**tty nappy.

Hes been here non-stop I cant get rid of him
But, when it happens, you dont mind. You want her to be comfortable and clean, shes my child.
I want to be a really hands-on dad, be really involved in her life.
To see everything, be there on her first day of school, meet her first boyfriend Ill get him out pretty quick! and just be someone she can talk to about anything as she gets older.

Despite leaping to fame on a reality show, Jack has been remarkably coy about the newest addition to his family.
It was, he says, deliberate a conscious decision to help Casey adjust to life in the public eye.
Certainly the 29-year-old NHS recruitment officer seems a tad shell-shocked by the whole experience although that could be because she is currently surviving on two hours sleep a night but she is equally as smitten as Jack.
As teens, the pair used to go clubbing together in London, Raving at a club on Brick Lane, and only got back in touch shortly after Jack split from Dani.

Casey says: We started enjoying each others company, then things just happened.
But it didnt work out between us, so we decided to be just friends. It was a mutual decision.
A few weeks after we split, I found out I was pregnant.
Obviously I was a bit shocked. I texted Jack and we arranged to speak on the phone.

After the initial shock, he was as over the moon as I was. Hes an amazing dad.
Casey describes the birth as traumatic, adding: Blossom was a few days late, and I was induced. I spent ten hours in labour, had an epidural and basically anything that could have gone wrong did go wrong.
Jack wasnt there at the birth, but that was my decision. Im really close to my mum and nan, and wanted them there.
But he came straight after, and hes been there non-stop since, to be fair. I cant get rid of him!
While undoubtedly I am more of a dog person than a baby one, even I can see that she is cute and literally a miniature Jack, resplendent with full head of thick, dark hair.
Jack says: Shes changing every day. Ive become that person who keeps showing strangers pictures of their child.
I just think shes the most brilliant thing ever. I love her.
