Maya, 28, took to her Instagram stories as the pair donned similar khaki outfits as they both headed out to separate events to drink and dance.

She first posted a short clip of her mother Sadie, dressed in a plunging camouflage two-piece dancing on the table.

The ITV2 presenter captioned the post: “My mum at carnival this weekend lol.”

She then posted a different clip as she wore a different khaki top with matching skirt dancing in a similar way.

Maya jokingly captioned her clip as: “Me at the festival lol.”

The Love Island host was born in Bristol when her mother was just was 18-years-old.

Sadie is of Swedish descent, while Maya’s father Hussein is of Somali descent

Her mum named her daughter after the US author and poet Maya Angelou.

Sadie previously appeared alongside her famous daughter in All Round To Mrs Brown’s Boys.

Maya is incredibly close to her mum and also her brother Omar.

Maya often talks about the great relationship she has with her mother.

She even told to the Evening Standard that she reckons smaller parent-daughter age-gap has brought them even closer over the years.

Maya explained: “She had me at 18, so our relationship was a bit different. I rebelled less because I was quite free.

“My mum’s always been like, ‘I want you to have your experiences—just tell me. I’m not going to judge you or shout at you.”

However, she did admit that sometimes Sadie takes the ‘cool mum’ vibe a bit too far.

Maya confessed: “She’s banned from my parties though. She gets too drunk.”

She also admitted they often get mistaken for sisters, adding: “All my boyfriends and friends that were guys fancied her.”
