LOVE Island filming had to be stopped just hours after the stars entered the villa as one of the islanders fell ill.

Catherine Agbaje was seen by paramedics after having a “funny turn” while the cameras were rolling.

Insiders said the estate agent became unwell on Saturday, the day filming began – with host Maya Jama pausing filming.

A source said: “Catherine started to feel ill during filming and she was seen by the villa’s medical team.

“Her welfare was the priority and filming with the other islanders and Maya was stopped until she was feeling better.

“It seemed the heat, nerves and not eating enough was the cause of her turn and she returned to filming not long after.

“Either that or the shock of being paired with Andre Furtado was a little too much to handle.”

A second insider confirmed the speed of Love Island’s reaction to the incident, adding: “Catherine was seen instantly by one of the 24 hour medics which resulted in a short pause in filming, once the medic was happy with her temperature she was fine to continue with the rest of filming.”

After the islanders were paired up by the public, Maya, 28, revealed the first bombshell of the series would be entering the villa to shake up the new couples.

Despite only having had a few hours to connect, Maya offered a way out to some of the girls who did not feel they were in the right romantic pairing.

Maya asked them to step forward if they did not feel entirely happy in their newly formed couples.

In a shock move, Ruchee Gurang, 24, and Jess Harding, 22, decided to walk away from their pairs – causing shockwaves and one boy to be on the brink of tears.

In a bid to shake-up the couples, Zachariah Noble, 25, arrived in a bid to turn the heads of the ladies.

Ahead of stepping foot into the villa, Zachariah confessed he was sad to be leaving his cat behind.

The 25-year-old hunk spilled the beans on being a ‘dad’ as he prepared to stir up the drama on the ITV2 show.

The personal trainer and basketball player from London said: “My cat is a huge part of my life, I honestly love him.

“He’s called Frank, I named him about ten years ago – his full name is Frankie G Swagger Don.

“I treat him as if he’s my son, I’m going to miss him so much when I’m in the villa.”
