During the event, Trump hinted at six Republicans who are on his shortlist for a potential running mate, including Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, Tim Scott, Kristi Noem, Byron Donalds, and Tulsi Gabbard.
Strong support for Trump at the event
The town hall, which had over 400 Trump supporters in attendance, saw the former president challenging President Joe Biden to as many debates as necessary and expressing his concerns about the current administration.
Scott criticizes Haley and supports Trump
US Senator Tim Scott, who was also present at the event, criticized Haley for not dropping out of the race and expressed his support for Trump, stating, "Success breeds success. Let’s fire Joe Biden and hire Donald Trump."
