Dull policy wonks have been swapped out for celebrity business leaders

New Team of Celebrity Business Leaders

Trade Secretary Kemi Badenoch is set to replace the "dry" policy wonks of the historic Board of Trade with prominent figures such as Anya Hindmarch, film industry tycoon Paul Golding, and Universal Music chief Lucien Grange. Only four previous members, including Lord Hannan and former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, will retain their positions.

Praise from the Prime Minister

Earlier this year, Prime Minister Boris Johnson commended Anya Hindmarch for her contributions, stating that she has provided "many great birthday and Christmas presents."

Revitalizing Trade Opportunities

The revamped Board of Trade is expected to utilize the international influence of its celebrity members to open up trade prospects that can benefit small and medium-sized British businesses. By partnering with the private sector, the government aims to support the growth of beloved British brands in the global market.
