Early Life and Political Career

Before his election to the United States Congress, Scott Perry held various political positions and currently serves on the House Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure and Foreign Affairs. Born on May 27, 1962, in San Diego, California, Perry later relocated to Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, during his childhood. He attended Penn State University and served over 30 years in the US Army.

Political Aspirations and Achievements

Reflecting on his aspirations, Perry shared, "I had two dreams growing up – one was to run for president, and the other was to fly helicopters. I’ve done a lot of things, and I’m not too ashamed to do anything. You never know when you won’t have a job in elected office, so you’ve got to have some skills outside."

Perry was first elected to Pennsylvania's House of Representatives for the 92nd district on January 2, 2007. After serving three terms, he achieved his first Congressional victory and assumed office in the US House of Representatives on January 3, 2013. Perry has since been reelected five additional times in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022.

Committed to Serving the People

Perry expressed his gratitude to his supporters after his sixth Congressional victory, stating, "The People’s voice is heard in their vote. And voices all across the 10th congressional district spoke loudly and clearly that they want strong, conservative leadership for another two years in Congress. I’m humbled by the outpouring of support and am incredibly grateful to the many voters, volunteers, and supporters who worked tirelessly on behalf of this cause. I was elected to represent all south central Pennsylvanians, and I will continue to honor that duty in Washington."

A Family Man

Perry is married to Christy Perry, and they have two children together. They reside in Northern York County with their two daughters, Ryenn and Mattea.
