SIR Keir Starmer has made a direct appeal to Conservative voters, urging them to switch sides at the next election.

The leader of the Labour Party stated that the past 13 years have been marked by "chaos and crisis," and many Tory voters have grown disillusioned as the party has descended "into the murky waters of populism and conspiracy."

Starmer asserted, "If you believe that our children need a party that fights for our union, our environment, the rule of law, family life, and the intergenerational bond, then let me tell you, Britain already has one. And you can join it. It's the Labour Party."

In addition, Sir Keir emphasized that winning seats in Scotland could pave the way for Labour to secure a majority in the House of Commons. Party insiders are targeting approximately two dozen seats in Scotland.

Last night, former Cabinet minister Lord Peter Mandelson revealed in an interview with Times Radio that he has not encountered a single Tory who disagrees with the notion that they will lose in the upcoming election. He stated, "They've essentially given up. They're throwing in the towel and are preoccupied with internal battles over who will succeed Rishi Sunak."
