CORONATION Street’s Hope Stape will finally be revealed to be telling the truth about Beth Tinker slapping her.
The ITV soaps‘ new storyline saw Hope (Isabella Flanagan) make an accusation of violence against Beth (Lisa George).

The bad blood between the two families started when Hope ran afoul of Peanut the dog, then got worse over allegations that Beth slapped the child in retaliation.
Viewers were left wondering whether Hope was telling the truth when she told Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) about Beth’s abuse.
And many were skeptical to believe Hope due to her track record of lying and dangerous antics.
However the following episodes confirmed the truth that Beth did slap Hope out of anger.
The revealing scene saw Beth apologise to Hope after blaming her attitude causing her to lash out.
Beth went after a furious Hope and admitted she shouldn’t have slapped her, though she did accuse the schoolgirl of pushing her “too far”.
“You could get excluded for a week at my school if you did that,” Hope pointed out.
When some kind words about Cilla the chinchilla were cold comfort, she handed Hope a fiver instead and said she could have a cuddle with Peanut whenever she wants.
Beth trotted off assuming everything was smoothed over, yet Hope stewed and muttered “cow” under her breath.
Is this grudge really over?
Next week, Sam Blakeman will learn the truth about her encounter with Beth.
Hope reveals that Beth slapped her, but warned her not to bother grassing her up as nobody would believe her.
