Soap Star Joins Helen and Jules for Festive Special
A shock crossover episode took place during Christmas on the Farm, as one star from Emmerdale made a surprise appearance on the show. The Channel 5 programme, which is a spin-off from the usual format Winter on the Farm, is presented by Strictly star Helen Skelton and Jules Hudson. However, this time they were joined by a special guest host.
During the programme, Santa made a cameo appearance, portrayed by none other than Emmerdale's Lisa Riley. Jules, 53, had teased the arrival of a special guest on the farm, saying, "Santa's sleigh is packed and ready to go. But before the epic journey begins, there is a special stop to be made right here at the farm. Who do you think our Secret Santa is? Well, as tradition demands, wearing a nice red coat, but this Santa is probably more used to leopard print."
Both hosts had been dropping hints about Lisa Riley's appearance throughout the show, building up anticipation for the big reveal. They even asked Father Christmas for clues to the guest host's true identity, with Riley hinting, "My favorite song is Dingle all the way!" Finally, Jules couldn't resist any longer and announced to viewers at home that it was indeed Lisa Riley from Emmerdale.
The festive special also featured appearances by Rob and Dave Nicholson and JB Gill. Christmas on the Farm can be streamed on My5.
