CORONATION Street fans have reacted with fury to what they dub Sarah-Louise Platt’s latest “ridiculous” pregnancy storyline.
Back in 2000, the ITV character’s teenage pregnancy captivated soap fans – yet it appears her current rocky maternity journey has sparked anger.
Coronation Street fans have blasted Sarah Lou’s latest pregnancy storyline
Back in 2000, the ITV character discovered she was pregnant for the first time
Sarah-Lou has been cheating on her husband with drug dealer Damon – and now does not know who the father of her child is
Previously, fans were left disgusted after Sarah manipulated her young son Harry to cover up her cheating.
The manager – who is played by actress Tina O’Brien in the ITV soap – has been having an affair with drug dealer Damon Hay, played by Ciarán Griffiths, for months.
Now she has found out she is pregnant – with husband Adam Barlow struggling with the news.
Meanwhile, much-loved Coronation Street character Sarah is left struggling to figure out who the father could be.
Adam, played by Sam Robertson, eventually found out about her affair with the Weatherfield thug and has been seething ever since.
Yet with her baby-daddy currently unknown, soap fans have been drawing parallels to previous Corrie pregnancy plotlines – particularly that of her on-screen mum Gail, played by Helen Worth.
One took to Twitter to write: “This is literally the exact same storyline Gail had when she was pregnant with Sarah. She wasn’t sure if the father was her husband or her husband’s dashing Australian cousin, and of course it turned out to be her husband’s.”
A second then wrote: ““Faye, Sarah, Paul, David, Beth and Daisy have all cheated on their partners this year. That’s 6 cheating storylines in under 6 months. This show is beyond ridiculous.”
A third then mused: “Can’t believe this is possibly the second time Sarah had gotten pregnant by a dodgy drug dealer who tried to screw one of her brothers over.”
One then put: “How many babies by bad boy wrong ‘uns is Sarah gonna rack up??!!”
Recently, Sarah found herself in a sticky situation when son Harry caught her and Damon sharing a kiss – before rushing off to tell his grandmother Gail.
Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
