CORONATION Street fans are disgusted after Craig Tinker blackmailed girlfriend Faye Windass into staying with him.
The police officer – who is played by actor Colson Smith in the ITV soap – was left devastated when he discovered Faye had kissed her ex Jackson.
Craig confronted Faye about her and Jackson
He was left floored by Faye’s admissions
And when he was told Jackson had once again asked Faye to move to Slough with him and their daughter, he was heartbroken and ran out of his own party.
“How could you do this to me after all I did to protect you?” Craig said to a confused Faye on the cobbles.
“You know very well, what I did. You could’ve gone to prison with all that means for an ex-copper, and I still took that chance.
“All to keep you safe. Because I love you that much. And you go and snog your ex at the first chance you get. How stupid am I?”
“Are you talking about the hit and run?” said Faye.
Confirming he was, Craig told her: “You’d have got ten years minimum.
“I feel like going down to the station right now and telling them everything. And yeah, I’d go down as well but what does it matter because if you go off with him, my life’s already over.”
Faye looked absolutely terrified and was forced to tell Craig: “I’m not going away with him. I turned him down, I’m staying here with you.”
But as Craig hugged her, Faye looked absolutely in fear of her life.
And fans are completely disgusted with Craig’s blackmail.
One wrote: “Craig gaslighting Faye into not leaving him. Not cool.”
A second said: “Blackmail, emotional or otherwise isn’t the way to go Craigie.”
Another added: “That low down dirty manipulating comment would make me dump you right now Craig!”
