Viewers of the popular ITV soap, Coronation Street, were left scratching their heads after spotting a confusing mistake in Paul and Billy's flat. As the storyline surrounding Paul's worsening motor neuron disease (MND) unfolded, fans couldn't help but notice an error in the layout of their living space.

Confusion over the floorplan

When it comes to the internal layout of the flat, Coronation Street fans are unsure of the floorplan. The couple, played by Peter Ash and Daniel Brocklebank, have an open plan kitchen, dining, and sitting room. However, beyond that, the layout remains a mystery, leaving viewers with questions.

Taking to social media, one fan expressed their confusion: "I thought the bathroom was by the bedrooms, through the door opposite side to the front door." Another viewer added, "Tonight Billy dragged, yes, dragged Paul through the door by the entrance to the flat. Surely it hasn't got 2 bathrooms?"

A distraction from the emotional storyline

While fans were captivated by the emotional dialogue between the characters as Paul's condition deteriorated, the flat blunder became a talking point. Some viewers found it hard to focus on the storyline when they couldn't make sense of the living space.

The flat, situated above Tracey Barlow's flower shop, Preston's Petals, is accessed by a set of stairs. But the exact layout beyond the open plan area remains a mystery, leaving fans perplexed.

A mystery to be solved

As the storyline continues to unfold, viewers will undoubtedly be keeping an eye out for any further hints about the layout of Paul and Billy's flat. Will the mystery be solved, or will it remain a topic of confusion among fans?

Coronation Street airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
