FINANCES are a cause for concern for businesswoman Debbie Webster – and the Baileys won’t make things any easier.

The Bistro co-owner played by Sue Devaney gets terrible news concerning Ray Crosby next week in Coronation Street.

Debbie Webster is having some issues with her finances

And Ray Crosby doesn’t make things easier for her

While everything may be looking up for her brother Kevin, Debbie is facing serious money woes and despite him being behind bars, Ray Crosby is still terrorising her.

To make matters worse, Ed Bailey (portrayed by Trevor Michael Georges) recently had a near-fatal accident in her hotel.

Worried about the date of her last inspection, due to Ray’s unlawful practices, Debbie decided to avoid any legal issue she could by paying off the Baileys.

But her troubles don’t stop there.

Coming up, in the Bistro, Debbie tells her partner and Ed’s brother Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) that Ray cancelled the professional indemnity insurance.

This doesn’t stop her from setting out to settle her issues with Ed and Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw).

Debbie calls at the hospital with a cheque for the couple, amid her own financial crisis, but nurse Aggie tells her it’s not nearly enough.

Aggie goes a step further by advising her to lawyer up as they’ve already turned to solicitor Adam Barlow.

Debbie and Ronnie are stunned by the news – but she doesn’t give up.

In later scenes, Debbie calls at No.3 and offers Ed £30k by way of compensation and, although accepting of the offer, Aggie still stands firm.

She makes it clear Debbie has two weeks to pay up – will she even be able to?

As mentioned above, she has been struggling to cope with her money issues, which were made worse when Leanne Battersby wanted to help her sister Toyah amid her own legal trouble over Imran Habeeb’s death.

And with Ray making her life difficult, Debbie is sure to land herself into plenty of more trouble.

Will she be able to pay Ed and Aggie following his accident in her hotel?

Could Debbie find a way to avoid potential bankruptcy?

Or will more obstacles get to her?

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
