When Amy (Elle Mulvaney) gets a taste of adulthood by going to a club alongside her friends and boyfriend Jacob, the 18-year-old unfortunately gets spiked ahead of her outing.

All eyes turn to Jacob (Jack James Ryan), who is a known criminal in Weatherfield.

However, Max unexpectedly uncovers the truth about the incident as he is seen filming the Valentine’s dance, which Amy attended prior to heading out on the town.

While he may have left the dance disappointed, Max seems to have caught the culprit red-handed on film.

When Daniel asks him to download the footage of the dance for the police, Max is shocked by what he sees as he learns who may be responsible for Amy’s spiking horror.

Later on, his adoptive father David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) learns the truth.

He returns home with a police officer in tow and Max hands over his camera to the officer, a valuable piece of evidence.

Previous episodes have seen Max being held accountable by Amy for upskirting Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), with whom he shared a close bond.

This inspired both Amy and Summer to organise a protest in the hopes to change school regulations around sexual harassment.

While Amy was suspended for vandalising school property, Summer took to social media to show her support.

Prior to this, Max was at the core of another storyline where he accused Daniel of having an inappropriate relationship with Summer.

But by figuring out who spiked Amy, he could well save his bad reputation from getting worse.

Will he be able to prove Jacob’s innocence?
