Charlotte Jordan has said she’s removed herself from Twitter following a backlash from fans

Viewers of the ITV soap have watched as Daisy and Ryan have grown close following their acid attack.

But Ryan has been unaware that Daisy has been catfishing him and pretending to be DJ Crystal who he has been gushing over.

Recent scenes have seen the pair share a kiss – with the pair due to become closer in upcoming scenes.

But speaking about her role, Charlotte, 28, has said she’s removed herself from social media because of backlash to the storyline.

She told the Daily Star: “I think I’m going to steer clear of social media because people are going to come for her, but it’s not my fault, they make me do it.”

Charlotte went on to say she’s been on the receiving end of hateful comments for playing Daisy.

“Yeah, they hated me but that’s fine. I think I learnt quite quickly early days that she was always going to be a very divisive character which is one of the reasons that drew me to her in the first place.

“So as soon as you commit to playing someone like that you know you’re not going to have a particularly smooth ride on platforms like Twitter which tend to be hateful.”

Meanwhile, Charlotte recently revealed to HOAR’s TV Mag how she perfected the voice of Daisy.

The actress is originally from Surrey so has had to work on her Mancunian accent.

“I used to pre-record all my scenes and listen to them back on the drive up to get the accent in, but now I hear it so much – I live in Manchester now, so I can pick it up so easily,” she said.

It wasn’t just the accent that Charlotte had to learn to adapt too as she confessed that she used to have a number of rituals in order to embrace the character of Daisy.
