Sebastian Dowling speaks out after character's demise

Emmerdale teen star Sebastian Dowling has finally spoken out after his character was unexpectedly written out of the show. Dowling had portrayed the role of Heath Hope since 2007 on the popular ITV series. However, his character met a tragic end in a horrifying car crash, which is believed to have been caused by his on-screen twin sister, Cathy, played by his real-life twin Gabrielle.

Fond Farewell on Instagram

On his Instagram page, Sebastian shared a series of photos from his final day on set in the Dales. Dressed in casual clothes, he posed next to the iconic Emmerdale road sign at the entrance to the village. Alongside the pictures, he expressed his gratitude to everyone at Emmerdale for the enjoyable 17 years of filming.

Heartfelt Messages from Fans and Co-Stars

Sebastian's loyal fans flooded his post with supportive comments, with many expressing their sadness over his departure. One fan admitted to sobbing during the final scene, while others wished him the best of luck for the future. His co-star Amelia Flanagan, known for her role as April, also sent him well wishes, and Sebastian's sister showered him with love by posting a series of red heart emojis.

Tragic Car Crash

Heath's demise came after a car accident involving him, Cathy, and their friend Angelica King. The trio stole Wendy Posner's car and drove to a party in nearby Hotten. However, tragedy struck as their car veered off the road, resulting in Heath's fatal injuries. Speculation has been swirling about who was behind the wheel, as viewers only saw Cathy driving, claiming that she had learned from her brother Scott, despite being only 16 years old.
