CORONATION Street’s Amy Barlow actress Elle Dulvaney has broken her silence on a co-star’s exit after spotting a worrying trend.
Elle has played Amy in the ITV soap since 2010, and a recent storyline saw the character be raped by Aaron Sandford (James Craven).

James Craven – who plays Aaron Sandford – confirmed he was leaving the soap just weeks after the rape storyline between him and Amy
Elle’s friend Ellie Leach – who played Faye Windass – also recently left the show
Soon after the episodes aired, James revealed he was leaving Coronation Street, hot on the heels of Jack James Ryan, who had played Amy’s boyfriend Jacob Hay until he quit the cobbles earlier this year.
Meanwhile Ellie Leach also left her role as Faye Windass recently, and Elle is now starting to think she’s the common denominator.
She said: “That’s the thing when people leave it’s bittersweet but I’m just so excited for what they’re going to do and watch what they’re going to go on to next.
“But at the same time, it’s like, ‘Oh I don’t want you to leave, I’m losing a friend’.
“I feel like that’s been me recently like Jack went, James has gone, Ellie’s gone, they’re dropping like flies. I think it’s me, I think I’m the problem!”
She added to the Daily Star: “James is an absolute gem.
“He is the nicest human being, he’s so lovely. Everyone who I know who knows him just sings his praises.
“I haven’t heard a bad word about him, everyone in work absolutely adored him. It’s been really hard to see him go.”
Ellie’s departure also hit Elle hard as she said: “When I found out she was leaving I was like, ‘What! Are you insane?’ because she’s been here as long as I have.”
