CORONATION Street’s Elle Mulvaney looked very different to her on-screen character Amy Barlow as she shared a selfie.

The 18-year-old actress shared a string of pictures from her home on Instagram writing: “Swipe to smile :)”

Elle is the seventh actress to play Amy, who was born on screen in 2004, but is undoubtedly the longest-serving.

The young star rarely posts on Instagram compared to many of her co-stars, but shared the ultimate picture of her with the Queen last month.

Posting a picture of Her Majesty on a tour through the set of Coronation Street’s Rovers Return she wrote: “A day I don’t think I will ever forget.”

She also posted back in May when she went ‘Instagram official’ with her boyfriend Euan, with the pair cuddling up together.

Elle simply captioned it with a triangular red flag, with one fan telling them: “You both are such a beautiful adorable couple.”

She joined Coronation Street as Tracey Barlow and Steve McDonald’s daughter in 2010, when she was just seven.

In true soap style she has seen out a string of shocking storylines including a teen pregnancy and being trapped in a fire.
