Lucy Fallon, known for her role as Bethany Platt on Coronation Street, has addressed rumors that she is expecting her second child. The 27-year-old actress gave birth to her first child, Sonny, in January of this year with her boyfriend Ryan Ledson, a player for Preston North End. Fallon took to Instagram to share a post that showed a screenshot of her recent Google search, asking if it is possible to run a marathon while pregnant. She clarified in the caption that she is not pregnant and won't be running a marathon.

Reprising Role on Coronation Street

After a three-year break from acting, Fallon will be returning to Coronation Street to reprise her role as Bethany Platt. Fallon played the troubled teen for five years and received critical acclaim for her performance in the controversial child grooming storyline. She won the Best Female Dramatic Performance award at the 2018 British Soap Awards. Bethany's character was last seen in 2020 leaving the cobbles to pursue a career in journalism in London.

Excitement for Bethany's Return

A source from the TV show revealed that the producers approached Fallon a few weeks ago about the possibility of her returning and discussed their plans for Bethany's character. Fallon, who is now a mother, had conversations with her boyfriend and family to ensure they could manage childcare while she takes on the role. Everyone involved is reportedly very excited about her return. Filming for Bethany's comeback scenes will begin in the coming months, with the episodes set to air after Christmas.
