GET ready for a Corrie wedding as newly engaged couple Sarah Platt and Adam Barlow are set to walk down the aisle.
Actress Tina O’Brien was pictured in a wedding dress filming scenes for the soap, which prove her character will marry Adam (Sam Robertson).
The pair got engaged during the Christmas Day special which saw a gunman on the loose in Weatherfield.
The shooter was looking for Gary Windass and went on a rampage on the cobbles, which saw Adam and Sarah take refuse in the local Winter Wonderland.
As they were hiding for their lives, Adam realised he didn’t want to wait a moment longer and proposed to Sarah.
It now looks like the pair are getting hitched sooner than we thought, as actors Tina and Sam were seen filming wedding scenes.
Tina looked gorgeous in a 1920’s style gown, which featured a flapper headband.
She topped off the look with a feather cape.
Sam looked handsome in his morning suit, complete with handkerchief and wedding flower.
These scenes will bring light relief following the high drama of Christmas Day, which saw two characters killed off.
Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) and gunman Derek Milligan (Craige Els) were both left dead following the carnage.
The wedding marks the union of two of Weatherfield’s legendary families, the Platts and the Barlows.
Speaking toRadio Times, Tina said: ‘It feels a bit Romeo and Juliet and historic! It would be a bit strange not being a Platt any more though, but of all the other families on the street to marry into, the Barlows are the one Id choose.
“Sarah was meant to marry Jason Grimshaw but he climbed out of the toilet window in the church and jilted her, then when they eventually did get married her brother David faked his suicide and drove into the canal just for the attention.
“If there is another wedding Id like it to be a peaceful happy one for Sarah this time. She wouldnt want a big fuss or any drama.”
