AN EASTENDERS actor has shared a major career update nine months after leaving the BBC soap.

The star has announced huge career news months after dramatically leaving Albert Square.

The actor left fans devastated when he quit without warning last October

Jaz’s character was last seen exiting Walford after being convicted of murdering sleazy tycoon Ranveer Gulati

Jaz Singh Deol, who is best known for playing fan favourite Kheerat Panesar on EastEnders, left fans devastated when he sensationally quit the soap without warning last October.

Jaz’s character was last seen exiting Walford in spectacular way after being convicted of murdering sleazy tycoon Ranveer Gulati.

And while fans have repeatedly called for his return, it seems Jaz has made a huge career change since leaving – after he announced he is set to become an acting coach.

The actor has set up his own company and will help aspiring actors learn the right techniques and skills to make it in the industry.

Revealing his surprising new venture, Jaz told his Instagram followers: “I’m very excited to share with you all @theactorspath which is focused on sharing my ever evolving insights, knowledge and experience of walking this particular journey. Especially as a person of colour in this industry.

“I’ve had and still have coaches who, without a shadow of doubt, helped me thrive and define my career as it is today. And I believe now the time has come for me to do the same for others. Sometimes you need an outside eye to help you see the road ahead. If you’re an actor and interested in working 1:1 on an audition, a part of career guidance, then you can BOOK directly from the page.”

Jaz’s followers – including his former Eastenders co-stars – and friends were quick to congratulate and wish him well on his new venture.

Shiv Jalota, who plays Jaz’s on-screen brother Vinny, was the first to repost the acting school’s new Insta page. He posted: “Check @jazsinghdeol Actor’s Path.”

While fellow Eastenders actress Hersha Patel commented: “I love this!!.”

Another of Jaz’s followers penned: “Love this, thanks. Looking forward to learning more.”

And a fourth joked: “This is great…… but…. get ya a**e back to @bbceastenders.”

The soap hunk’s career comes after soap bosses confirmed that his character would not be returning to the show.

Viewers watched recently as Kheerat’s family were given the news that he had received a life sentence for admitting to the murder of Ranveer despite not actually committing the crime.

During his time in EastEnders, Jaz’s character Kheerat wore his locks in a black turban.

Fans were only given a peek of his tresses in October, when Ravi Gulati yanked his turban off during a scuffle in the Queen Vic pub.

For all other scenes, Kheerat’s hair was covered up.

But since leaving Albert Square, Jaz has cut his long salt and pepper coloured hair short.

He showed off his new look while posing for pictures on the red carpet at the Raindance Festival opening gala.
