THE nation’s favourite soaps will be scrapped tonight and tomorrow as the FA Cup football kicks off.

BBC soap EastEnders will not air tonight, after their double episode last night.

EastEnders will not air tonight

FA Cup clashes, including Manchester United versus West Ham, will dominate the TV schedules

ITV soap Emmerdale is also scrapped as the FA cup fifth round tie between Bristol City and Manchester City will air on ITV from 7:30pm.

And Coronation Street will not appear on our screens in its usual time slot tomorrow at 8pm.

This is to make way for a match between Manchester United and West Ham United.

Coronation Street’s Wednesday instalment will switch to Thursday at 8pm.

And Emmerdale will air their episode on Thursday as normal.

To make up for missed episodes, there will be a double bill of EastEnders on Friday.

Emmerdale’s Friday episode will last 60 minutes instead of 30.

Last month, Corrie fans were fuming as the soap was cancelled for the same FA Cup tournament.

Meanwhile in September, they were all cancelled to make way for the Queen’s funeral, as a mark of respect.

The schedule disruption came after a series of cancellations for the World Cup.

There will be a double episode on Friday

Coronation Street will be completely cancelled on Wednesday, with the episode moved to Thursday
