Danielle’s alter-ego Lola is dying of a terminal brain tumour.
In June last year HOAR exclusively told about Lola’s heartbreaking exit after it was revealed that Danielle Harold was axed from BBC soap.
Just last week EastEnders fans broke down in tears after the mum-of-one was given devastating news.
Lola was called into hospital for an urgent meeting after tests following her advancing symptoms.
The doctor told her: “Lola I’m afraid it’s not good news.
“The MRI had detected the tumour is advancing again.”
As Lola struggled to come to terms with the news, the doctor added: “We can talk about starting you on a cycle of chemotherapy.
“But I must stress this is purely palliative.”
She was told that she will have six months maximum.
Danielle joined EastEnders in 2011 and left in 2015.
She rejoined the cast in 2019.
