EASTENDERS fans are worried Mick Carter will be Janine Butcher’s next victim after BBC soap teases clifftop drama.

This Christmas will be Mick’s last – and fans fear that he will suffer the same fate as Janine’s ex Barry Evans.

Who will make it out alive on Christmas day?

The BBC revealed Mick’s final moments

Barry suffered a tragic end during his honeymoon with Janine

Barry, played by Shaun Williamson, was pushed over a cliff edge by Janine back in 2004.

She confessed their relationship is a sham and that she had been having an affair with Paul.

Barry still wanted her and said that he will forgive her if she stayed with him.

He begged Janine not to leave him and goes to hug her but she pushed him away and he stumbled over the edge on the Scottish moors.

He hit his head on the rocks and died.

Viewers fear Mick will have a similar tragic end after photographs have shown Mick in peril on the edge of a cliff top.

This year’s festive storyline sees Shirley discover Janine’s duplicitous actions and tries to expose her over Christmas dinner.

As Scarlett enters and adds to her case, this leads to Mick demanding the truth, but Janine escapes in a car.

Mick and Linda follow her, leading to the teased clifftop scenes which can’t end well for the trio.

And both Danny and Janine star Charlie Brooks is set to depart the soap.

Is history repeating itself?

Fans seem to think so, as one wrote on Twitter: “Does Janine push him off. Are we getting the same cliff as Barry?”

Another said: “I hope he’s not victim number three for Janine Butcher.”

A third commented: “He’s gonna pull a Barry isn’t he?”

A fourth penned: “Barry Evans 2.0”.

An EastEnders insider said: “Bosses are staying tight lipped about the exact nature of Danny’s exit, but there’s no way his character would go out without a bang.

“Exact details are being kept top secret but the show is pulling out all the stops to make it an explosive ending, which will no doubt leave the residents of Walford reeling.”
