EASTENDERS fans are expecting a bloody Christmas as the festive episode will air post-watershed.
The BBC soap has lined up some of its most explosive storylines to come to a head on Christmas day.
The official Twitter account has revealed the scheduling for the episodes this week, with the 25th’s airing at 9.30pm – leaving the possibility for more adult content.
The Christmas trailer revealed Albert Square hardman Phil Mitchell will confront Sharon over her affair with Keanu.
But things are much more dire for the 20-year-old mechanic as Sharon is carrying his baby.
In the trailer, Phil yells at Sharon “worth it, was he?” before launching a chair at their Christmas table.
Then son Ben confirms the day will end in violence, saying: “He will not outlive Christmas”.
Not only has Keanu betrayed Phil, but also Phil’s daughter Louise – who he is engaged to and is expecting a baby with.
This will lead to Louise and Keanu’s exit from the soap, but how is unknown.
Most likely, Phil will take a violent revenge. When he suspected Jack Branning was the father of the baby, Phil kidnapped and tortured him – before trying to set him on fire.
In other parts of the Square, Linda Carter’s drinking problem will be further explore in the festive episode.
She’s unaware there is an issue and will be indulging in a few too many tipples at Christmas.
After passing out at Christmas lunch, she disappears from home – and ends up passing out in the freezing Square in the middle of winter.
