EastEnders has left fans in shock as the list of potential victims for the Christmas Day murder continues to expand.

The BBC soap had initially narrowed down the potential victims to seven men, but a recent episode suggests that there may be even more.

A Twist in the Storyline

Since February's flashforward that revealed a Walford man will meet his demise at the Queen Vic on Christmas, fans have been speculating about the identity of the victim.

The official potential victims were announced as Phil Mitchell, Keanu Taylor, Jack Branning, Nish Panesar, Ravi Gulati, Rocky Cotton, and Dean Wicks. The only clue given at the time was a pair of cufflinks worn by the victim.

Fans have been closely following the cufflinks as they have passed from one character to another throughout the Square.

However, in a recent episode, the theory took an unexpected turn when Alfie Moon was seen selling the same style of cufflinks across the Square.

An entire briefcase full of cufflinks was discovered, and Alfie decided to sell them alongside Billy Mitchell.

This twist means that any man could potentially be the victim, effectively removing the significance of the cufflinks as a clue.

Fans Express Their Anger

Understandably, fans are furious with this bait and switch.

One viewer wrote, "I knew there would be multiple cufflinks at some point! Sneaky move, making it even more and less obvious who our mystery man is…"

Another commented, "What a curveball, EastEnders! Alfie is selling a suitcase full of cufflinks identical to 'the cufflinks'."

It seems that the identity of the murder victim remains a mystery, and fans will have to wait until Christmas Day to find out who meets their untimely end in the Queen Vic.
