EASTENDERS fans are stunned after a Walford legend made a shock return tonight.

The BBC soap welcomed back Yolande Trueman after six years away from Walford as she made a comeback to see ex Patrick.

EastEnders fans were surprised by Yolande’s return

Yolande Trueman is back in Walford, six years since she was last in EastEnders

Turning up in Walford, Yolande revealed she was getting divorced after her secret affair with Patrick was discovered.

Actress Angela Wynter has made her shock return after HOAR revealed it.

A TV insider said: “This will be a huge thrill for EastEnders fans as she is considered something of a favourite among devotees.

“She’s just one of several characters making a return to Albert Square and though she might not be as high profile as Ian and Cindy, she will certainly get just as rapturous a reception from veteran viewers.”

Yolande’s character remains connected to Walford having first appeared on the BBC1 show in 2003 as the love interest of Patrick Trueman, played by Rudolph Walker, before later becoming his wife.

She famously feuded with Pat Evans, played by Pam St Clement, after it was revealed that the soap matriarch had an affair with Patrtick.

Yolande left Albert Square for a new job in 2008 and the couple divorced a year later and, save for a brief reappearance in 2017, she hasn’t been back since.

But fans are stunned that she’s back.

One wrote: “THEE ORIGINAL YOLANDE TRUEMAN IS BACK ON #EASTENDERS.”

A second said:  “Yolande slots straight back into the Fox/ Trueman abode like a glove. It’s like she’s never been away #EastEnders.”

Another added: “YOLANDE IS BACK???????? #EastEnders.”
