Linda Carter welcomes her mother Elaine Peacock back to Walford, and she quickly takes charge of business at The Queen Vic. However, Elaine makes it clear that she won't be alone. Soon enough, her partner George Knight and his two daughters Anna and Gina arrive.

In upcoming scenes on BBC One, George is struggling to cope with the fallout from a conversation with his adoptive mother Gloria. However, he doesn't feel comfortable sharing his pain with Elaine. Instead, he reaches out to Cindy, leaving her a voicemail expressing his longing for her presence. Meanwhile, Ian is concerned when he hears that Cindy has cut her trip short to return home without seeing him. It is revealed that Cindy is with George, seeking comfort and support.
As Cindy reminds George that she will always be there for him, the question arises: Could they be on the brink of reigniting their romance? Despite a turbulent year following Cindy's return and the revelation that Rose Knight never truly existed, the exes shared a secret kiss in September, hinting at the possibility of a passionate affair. However, they dismissed the moment when caught by their daughter Gina.
