Major changes are in store for EastEnders characters as the drama unfolds in Walford.
An EastEnders legend is considering leaving her long-standing role in Walford after receiving a surprising offer.
After a visit to her sister, Little Mo, Kat Slater (portrayed by Jessie Wallace) is back in the Square, but her return leads to tension-filled scenes on BBC One next week. She discovers that her son Tommy Moon has been acting out once again and that her former husband Alfie Moon may be battling prostate cancer.
The beloved character confronts her fiancé Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) over his secret-keeping, which may lead to the end of their relationship.
However, Phil finds solace in Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who offers him words of encouragement during a heart-to-heart conversation.
In an attempt to make amends, Phil brings chocolates to the cab office, but his efforts are unsuccessful. Emotionally overwhelmed, Phil seeks solitude at the local wine bar Peggy's, but his alone time is interrupted by Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit), who demands a gin and tonic.
Emma, who left Walford due to the struggle of coping with her daughter Lola Pearce's deteriorating health, has returned. How will her arrival be received?
Sharon Steps In
Meanwhile, at the Vic, Sharon plays mediator between Phil and Kat by offering words of wisdom to her friend.
Kat eventually contemplates giving Phil another chance and searches for him.
However, both Phil and Kat may soon lose Sharon's support. Boxing promoter Dorian tells Sharon about the work opportunities and luxurious lifestyle in Abu Dhabi, suggesting that a move there could set her up for life.
Initially dismissive, Sharon becomes intrigued. Meanwhile, at the Vic, Kat reveals that she and Phil are planning to get married the following week. Could Sharon be leaving the Square?

Since the first episode of EastEnders aired on February 19, 1985, Sharon has been a prominent figure in the London-based program.
She has been involved in some of the show's most gripping storylines over the years. While a temporary exit is likely, Sharon is still scheduled to participate in a Christmas murder mystery in December 2023. This suspenseful event was teased in a chilling flashforward in February 2023, which showed Sharon wearing a wedding dress.
