EASTENDERS’ star Kellie Bright revealed that two different endings were filmed for flash-forward episode.

Viewers were sent into a frenzy with last night’s grisly flashforward twist which it ended in death for one character on Christmas Day 2023.

Viewers have speculated who the murder victim is – but does the cast know?

Kellie pointed out landlady Linda has a split lip in the flash-forward scene

Kellie revealed two different endings were filmed

The explosive episode centred around the lives of six of Walford’s much loved matriarchs.

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Kathy Beale’s (Gillian Taylforth) lives are set to change forever in a huge new storyline.

After an eventful evening, the ladies of Walford settled into a lock in where they bond over their shared experiences, and moan about the men in their lives.

The flash-forward scene gives viewers a sneak peak into Christmas 2023.

The women are back in The Queen Vic, but this time things are less jovial.

Each of the women look horrified as they look down at the floor.

Sharon is in a wedding dress with blood stains and Denise holds a broken champagne bottle.

Stacey’s hands are also soaked in blood and Suki looks on in horror.

Sharon hovered over the body and bent down to check the pulse of the mystery figure – who was dressed in a suit wearing cufflinks.

She then shockingly revealed to the other women: “He’s dead.”

Fans were left speculating who the victim could be.

Linda Carter actress Kellie revealed she also knows very little about the murder victim and her character’s new story direction.

Kellie appeared on This Morning to discuss the jaw-dropping cliff-hanger and some behind-the-scenes secrets.

The 36-year-old confirmed that a male stand-in was used as the murder victim to film the flash-forward sequence.

So all that viewers and Kellie knows is that the victim is male – but it nearly wasn’t.

Kellie revealed: “When we filmed it, they made Tish [Letitia Dean] film it two ways – a ‘he’s dead’ and a ‘she’s dead’.

”So watching it last night was really the first time that I was like: “Oh it is a man.”

She also enlightened viewers that her Linda was seen with a “split lip” when she walked into the Queen Vic pub in the slow motion sequence.

Kellie admitted that she doesn’t know how or why her character ended up with the bloody injury yet.

Excited for what’s to come this coming year, Kellie teased: “There’ll be lots of red herrings.”

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer.

Six major storylines involving each of the characters will play out over the year
