LILY Slater begged her cash-strapped mother Stacey for a new pair of trainers – but Theo Hawthorne took care of it.
Tonight in EastEnders, the teacher’s actions raise the alarm as Amy Mitchell takes actions for her friend.

Stacey Slater (played by Lacey Turner) was hellbent on providing for her family and turned to secret cam work in an effort to make some extra cash.
But when her activity was exposed, her daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) managed to convince her to quit, meaning her financial woes are back with a vengeance.
In recent scenes of the BBC One soap, Lily was disappointed when Stacey was unable to gift her with a pair of brand new trainers.
However, Lily was thrilled when Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) decided to pitch in and buy her the trainers she’d been hoping for.
During tonight’s trip to Albert Square, Lily is over the moon but her friend Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) deems Theo’s gesture potentially dangerous.
Lily is showing off her new trainers when Amy tells her to be careful that Theo doesn’t have an ulterior motive.
The twelve-year-old questions Theo directly about his intentions but he closes her fears down immediately.
Amy isn’t convinced and decides to turn to Stacey, telling her about the older man who bought Lily trainers.
Stacey goes nuts, worried sick for Lily and confronts her but the schoolgirl offers an innocent explanation.
Aware Lily could be mistaken, Stacey then catches up with Theo to discuss the trainers and there’s tension between them.
Regular viewers of the London-based program will remember that Theo was first introduced to them as Freddie Slater’s former school teacher.
Theo was confronted by Freddie earlier this year when the lad sought closure from his name-calling and constant teasing.
This eventually led to Freddie’s own storyline as he had to undergo testing for ADHD when Theo revealed to him his behaviour as a schoolboy could be due to the condition.
But is there more to Theo than meets the eye?
