Linda (portrayed by Kellie Bright) has been suspicious of George (Colin Salmon) since his first arrival in the Square.
Last night’s trip to Walford ended with her persuading a reluctant Phil (Steve McFadden) to make sure George isn’t hiding something from him and who better to look into it than copper Callum (Tony Clay).
Phil was tipped about Rose Knight’s mysterious disappearance which occurred nine years ago but could George really have something to do with it?
Tonight on BBC One, Callum makes a strange discovery after finding out that George has a relatively clean record.
When he looks up Rose, all access is denied and Phil is immediately filled in.
Linda soon gets wind of Callum’s findings and she’s increasingly convinced this proves George is a shady character.
Soon enough, Phil decides to lay his cards on the table by inviting George to spar at The Boxing Den and he asks him about Rose.
George insists there’s nothing to tell and he’s adamant Linda has him all wrong.
But can he convince Phil?
Fans of the London-based soap have theorised George’s missing wife Rose could be one of Walford’s most iconic villainesses – Cindy Beale.
While she was reported to be dead following the birth of her daughter in prison, viewers have noted that Rose Knight walked out on her family around the same time Lucy Beale was murdered.
And with actress Michelle Collins due to reprise the role of Cindy Beale, viewers are certain the Knight family are somewhat involved with the character.
This wouldn’t be the first time EastEnders bosses bring a fan favourite back from the dead as Roxy Mitchell made a brief appearance earlier this year while her daughter Amy went to therapy.
