Her and Tom King are slowly taking their romance to a new level
After a decade of absence, Tom King (portrayed by James Chase) returned to the ITV village, where he bumped into Belle.
Tom has since been able to find himself a job as a vet, away from the Leeds town centre where he was working prior to his comeback.
In more recent scenes of the Yorkshire-based drama, Tom even moved in with a lonely Rishi Sharma as his relationship with Belle Dingle continues to blossom.
But tonight, PC Swirling has bad news for Belle and it will be about another one of her ex-boyfriends, Lachlan White.
Serial killer Lachlan was last seen in the long-running drama in January, 2019.
Lachlan was taken to a maximum state prison after terrorising Emmerdale.
However, Belle becomes worried when PC Swirling tells her Lachlan will be transferred to another prison.
She opens up to Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) about her anxieties but is she right to worry?
Later on, Belle is growing increasingly concerned but refuses to overwhelm Tom with her big news.
She makes the decision to keep the information from him but could he get wind of what’s going on anyway?
Regular Emmerdale viewers will remember that Lachlan was obsessed with Belle and showed his true colours to her when his crimes were exposed.
Lachlan abducted Belle and tried to force her into going on the run with him but she managed to escape.
But this wouldn’t be the last she’d hear of the murdered as Lachlan terrorised Belle and her family from prison, even sending his own father to get revenge.
Does Lachlan have something sinister planned for Belle?
Should Dales residents be worried about him coming back?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7.30pm on ITV.
