Concerns About Party Lifestyle

Before being axed from the BBC soap EastEnders, actor Max Bowden was reportedly spoken to by show bosses regarding his behavior. A TV source revealed that although Bowden was a talented actor and professional on set, there were concerns about his partying lifestyle away from work becoming a distraction.

Off-Screen Drama

The 29-year-old, who has portrayed Ben Mitchell in Albert Square since 2019, had discussions with BBC bosses about his personal life in 2022. During that time, Bowden began dating his co-star Shona McGarty, who plays Whitney Dean, while his former partner Roisin Buckle was pregnant with their child. Bowden's relationship with McGarty ended six months later, and McGarty announced her departure from EastEnders after 15 years in 2022.

Car Collision

It has also been revealed that Bowden's BMW was involved in a three-car collision in North London last month. Reports indicate that the vehicle did not have an up-to-date MOT at the time of the incident.

A Notable Role

As the fifth actor to play the character Ben Mitchell, Bowden has been involved in significant storylines, including his relationship and subsequent marriage to Callum Highway, as well as the tragic death of Lola Pearce-Brown, with whom his character had a daughter.

An EastEnders spokeswoman declined to comment on Bowden's departure.
