Jamie Borthwick hints at upcoming plot development
Ever since the heartbreaking death of his character's wife Lola, EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick has been at the center of the show. Now, he's hinting at an exciting new storyline that fans won't want to miss.
Actor suggests plot to soap bosses
In a recent interview with Inside Soap, Borthwick revealed that he took matters into his own hands and suggested a new story to the soap's writers. He even texted executive producer Chris Clenshaw with his ideas.
Story suggestion not ruled out
Although Borthwick didn't disclose the details of his proposed storyline, he did mention that it wasn't dismissed by the producers. He teased fans by saying, "Watch this space!"
Desire to work with EastEnders heavyweights
Borthwick also expressed his desire to work with fellow EastEnders stars Natalie Cassidy and Lacey Turner. He shared his close friendship with Turner, but noted that their on-screen characters are very different. He also mentioned wanting to film more scenes with Cassidy, whom he sees as a mentor figure.
