Doctor Who fans were in for a treat on Christmas Day as three beloved EastEnders actors made their debut in the long-running sci-fi show.

Soap Stars Join the Time Lord

The Doctor Who Christmas special featured the first full-length adventure for new Doctor Ncuti Gatwa. But the surprises didn't end there.

The festive episode introduced Millie Gibson, known for her role in Coronation Street, as the Doctor's new companion Ruby Sunday.

However, Gibson wasn't the only soap star to make an appearance in the thrilling episode.

EastEnders Icons Take the Stage

As the Doctor and Ruby faced off against goblins terrorizing her life, the Doctor saved Ruby from a giant falling Santa. But in her place, a woman with a pram nearly got crushed.

This woman was none other than Belinda Owusu, known for her role as Libby Fox in EastEnders from 2006.

But that's not all.

Anita Dobson, who famously played Angie Watts in the iconic soap, joined the cast as Ruby's mysterious neighbour Mrs. Flood.

Angela Wynter, known for her role as Yolande Trueman, also made an appearance as Ruby's grandmother Cherry, who couldn't resist flirting with the Doctor.

Fans React to the Surprise

Viewers were left stunned by the unexpected arrival of EastEnders stars in Doctor Who.

One fan exclaimed, "LIBBY FROM EASTENDERS MY GAWD #DoctorWho".

Another tweeted, "Wait? Was that Libby from Eastenders? #DoctorWho".

And a third fan added, "Angie Watts! #DoctorWho".
