EASTENDERS viewers break down in tears as the residents of Albert Square bid an emotional farewell to fan favourite Lola Pearce-Brown.
The BBC soap aired heart-breaking scenes tonight for Lola’s funeral, including tear-jerking speeches from Jay Brown, Lexi Mitchell and Billy Mitchell.

The hairstylist played by Danielle Harold succumbed to a terminal brain tumour in late May, 2023.
Although her loved ones tried their best to prepare themselves for her death, Lola left a void they’re finding hard to fill.
Billy Mitchell was no where to be seen on the morning of Lola’s funeral as he left a note saying to carry on without him.
But Phil Mitchell had an idea of where he could be and found him in front of Jamie Mitchell’s grave.
Phil managed to convince Billy to join them and say his final goodbyes to his beloved granddaughter.
Lola’s hearse arrived adorned in flowers and colourful messages left by the residents of Walford.
Her coffin was carried into the church by her nearest and dearest friends and family.
Lexi made a slideshow of videos featuring her mum that she played to funeral attendees after her speech, which brought viewers to tears.
Taking to Twitter, one said: “Lexi’s speech and video for Lola has destroyed me.”
Another wrote: “This recording of Lola and her love ones, is so moving, I am in tears.”
A third penned: “Lola would be so proud of Lexi.”
Despite the sadness after the ceremony, the Walford residents danced and sung in the middle of the square as they celebrate her life.
Meanwhile, Whitney Dean made a huge decision about her relationship with Zack Hudson.
With Lola’s words ringing in her ears about not wasting time, Whitney told Zack she loved him and asked him to move in with her until they can find a place of their own.
Zack was over the moon and accepted Whitney’s offer as they shared a kiss.
Also in the square, the Knight family are facing turmoil of their own as George Knight recently found out his missing wife Rose was never who she said she was.
While Anna knows the truth, the rest of the family are tiptoeing around Gina as her dark side could make an appearance.
