EastEnders fans are in for a treat as the notorious villain Dean Wicks is set to make a dramatic comeback to Albert Square after a seven-year absence. The character, portrayed by actor Matt Di Angelo, first appeared in 2006 and was last seen in 2016 when he was acquitted of the attempted rape of Roxy Mitchell.

Explosive Plot Ahead

Speculation about Dean's return has been swirling ever since EastEnders' top boss Chris Clenshaw hinted at a major Halloween story for actress Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter. Now, HOAR can exclusively reveal that Matt Di Angelo has indeed reprised his role, and he's already filming.

A Dark History

In 2014, Dean Wicks committed a heinous act by raping Linda Carter in the Queen Vic pub. The traumatic incident led Linda to break down and confide in her husband Mick, played by Danny Dyer, on Christmas Day. The revelation sparked one of the most intense showdowns in the soap's history.

A Christmas Murder Mystery

As viewers have been teased with a Christmas flash forward showing a dead body, fans are left wondering if Dean's return is connected to the upcoming murder plot. EastEnders bosses are keeping tight-lipped about the details, but the return of the ultimate villain has certainly set the stage for an explosive storyline.

A source revealed, "Dean is the ultimate villain, so to bring him back was a genius move, especially with everything that's coming up this autumn. There's also the small matter of the big murder at Christmas—could it be Dean's body under the tree? This just throws another name into the mix. It's a very exciting time."

A Halloween Surprise

EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw has also teased a major Halloween shock for Linda Carter. With this being her first Halloween without Mick, viewers can expect a surprise that she never saw coming.

EastEnders has been approached for comment.
